Brother John Teague was born December 21, 1943 at Blevins, Arkansas. He was born again during a tent revival meeting at Hope, Arkansas in 1953. He attended grade school in Washington and Hope, Arkansas. In 1962 he graduated from Hope High. 1963 found him attending Texarkana Junior College in Texarkana, Texas. He transferred from there to Southern State College in Magnolia, Arkansas. In March of 1965 while at Southern State he was called into the ministry. Southside Baptist church licensed him to preach and in 1966, Forest Hill Baptist church near Rosston, Arkansas called him as pastor. Southside Baptist Church of Hope, Arkansas set him aside for the proclamation of the gospel.. His passion is preaching and teaching. His love is to share the gospel. His goal is to be a blessing to as many as will permit him. He does not compromise the Word of God in order to have a pulpit to stand behind. Brother Teague was married August 22, 1969 to Carole Lisabeth Boyd of Horatio, Arkansas. He got a much better deal with her than she did with him. Carole has been there for Brother Teague in the hard times as well as the good. She exemplifies a loving, caring and giving wife. Without her help and faithfulness Brother Teague's ministry would be greatly hampered. In Brother Teague's words "I got a good one in Carole." Carole is employed at a local Baptist Church in Conway, Arkansas. Their children are grown and gone. This web site is made with the intention of being a help to busy pastors and preachers. Brother Teague's hope is that others will use this means of sharing their messages. He is a conservative, fundamental, Bible believing man of God in the Old Line Missionary Baptist tradition. He preaches and teaches from the Authorized King James Version. |
